Transient visibility, wind and cold breeze - What's your reason to enjoy the outdoors

The reason to enjoy the outdoors could be as simple as having a walk to the local park or journeying to the middle of nowhere with friends. I like both depending on the weather and activities during the preceding week.

A while ago when I was living in London. I had an idea to cycle and walk from one park to the other. As you can guess, the newer park on my list gets farther and farther away as the year went on. Now visiting the parks required a bit of planning - walking and cycling are just not ideal anymore. Unfortunately, I didn’t drive back then so other means of transportation was employed to get to the places I want to be; especially because I didn’t drive back then.

I also recall doing a bit of mental gymnastics when the journey to the spots of interest becomes challenging. I did this by coming up with reasons to visit these places. I would make up a reason to go to places like a procrastinator would pluck a reason to delay an activity from the thin air.

The idea was to give yourself a reason to go places or come up with a creative reason to do what you’ll like to do.

- Maybe you want to go to see what flower they plant in their park because you care about who does it better

- If the ducks are well behaved on that part of the country

- How about have coffee in the park with your friends.

- Take a freesbee tour

- What’s the best park to meditate

The reasoning doesn’t have to be elaborate; it just has to make a little bit of sense. At the end of it all, I basked in the warmth of a home to enjoy the exhilarating cold of the outdoors and the change in seasons gives me enough variety to feel the difference.

The reasons to be outdoors can also be based entirely on the potential benefits including connecting with nature. I think the effect of seeing animals interacting with their habitat can be captivating and interesting and even meditative if you have the enough time to appreciate it. Being outdoors allows people to connect with the natural world, whether it's through hiking in the mountains, swimming in the ocean, or simply sitting in a park surrounded by trees and wildlife.

The following are possible benefits of being in the good outdoors:

Physical Health Benefits: Outdoor activities often involve physical movement, which can contribute to overall health and well-being. Activities like hiking, biking, or playing sports outdoors can improve cardiovascular health, strengthen muscles, and boost mood. I particularly like hiking to the peak of hills or mountains for the view. If you climb high enough on a good day, the transient visibility, the wind and the cold breeze is all worth it.

Mental Health Benefits: Spending time outdoors has been linked to reduced stress, anxiety, and depression. The fresh air, sunlight, and exposure to natural environments can have a calming and rejuvenating effect on the mind.

Social Interaction: Many outdoor activities are social in nature, providing opportunities to bond with friends, family, or community members. Whether it's a group hike, a picnic in the park, or a team sport, being outdoors can foster social connections and strengthen relationships.

Adventure and Exploration: The outdoors offer endless opportunities for adventure and exploration. Whether it's discovering new hiking trails, exploring hidden waterfalls, or camping in remote wilderness areas, outdoor enthusiasts thrive on the sense of adventure and discovery that nature provides.

Appreciation of Beauty: The outdoors is often praised for its natural beauty, from majestic mountains and serene lakes to vibrant sunsets and starry night skies. Spending time outdoors allows people to appreciate and marvel at the beauty of the natural world.
